Netanyahu Says Government Approved 29 Billion Shekels for Northern Recovery

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Local Government Conference that the cabinet recently approved a package of decisions for northern Israel worth 29 billion shekels. He said, “As we brought renewal to the south, we will also bring momentum to the north,” adding that Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics shows the growth surge in the Gaza border area is “amazing.”

Speaking about the war, Netanyahu said, “We will be the first in the world to solve the problem of explosive drones.” He argued that the most important achievement in the war was “breaking the barrier of fear.”

Netanyahu referred to the October 7 attack, saying Israel was “attacked horribly” in the massacre. He added that Israel is now present in nearly 70% of the Gaza Strip and is “suffocating Hamas.”
