Nova festival survivor wounded in police shooting during Jerusalem chase
A survivor of the Nova festival was reportedly wounded by police gunfire during a chase in Jerusalem last week, after he allegedly tried to flee a routine police checkpoint in his vehicle. He was later hospitalized, with his hands and feet cuffed to the bed.
According to the report, police asked the young man to stop at the checkpoint, but he allegedly attempted to escape by car. During the pursuit, shots were fired at the vehicle.
In response, police said the man is suspected of drug dealing and that during his escape he ran over police volunteers. Police said he was arrested and injured after officers were forced to open fire in order to bring about his detention.
