Israeli forces destroyed four rocket launch positions in the Gaza Strip overnight, between Tuesday and Wednesday, after identifying them as ready for immediate launch. According to the report, the sites had been set up by terror organizations in recent days, after the ceasefire took effect.
The IDF said the launchers posed a direct threat to Israeli troops and civilians. It added that the positions were prepared for immediate use and were therefore eliminated before they could be activated.
Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in line with the agreement, the military said, and will continue operating to remove any immediate threat. The IDF stressed that its forces will keep acting in the sector to eliminate danger as needed.
The report also noted that two senior militants were killed in Gaza two days earlier. They were identified as Ahmad Munir Khalil Zaza, the engineering officer of the West Jabalia Battalion in Gaza City, and Husin Safdi, commander of the sniper array in Gaza City, who during the war was responsible for all sniper attacks against Israeli forces in that area.
