Rubio Says Regional Conflicts Cannot End While Iran's Proxies Keep Firing Missiles
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented for the first time on the agreement between the United States and Iran. He said the broader regional fighting cannot be brought to an end as long as Iran's proxies continue launching missiles, adding that this issue will be raised at the appropriate time.
Rubio also addressed the possibility that Iran could collect fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz. He rejected that idea, saying, "No country is allowed to do that in international waters. It is an existing law."
