Australian actor Nathan Buzolic may be forced to sit out the next episode of Israel’s "Dancing with the Stars" after getting hurt during rehearsals. The injury comes as the physically demanding training process continues to take a toll on contestants on the Keshet 12 show.
Buzolic, who came to Israel specifically to take part in the competition, was injured while rehearsing for the episode scheduled to air Wednesday. Medical staff advised him to rest and temporarily stop rehearsals while he recovers. He and his dance partner, Julia Shahar, could therefore miss the upcoming performance.
Under the international format rules, a contestant is allowed to skip one dance during the season. For now, Buzolic is expected to remain in the competition and appear in the next few episodes, but his participation in the next taping is still uncertain.
The concern follows another injury-related exit in the same season. Last night, Shahar Hayun withdrew from the contest after tearing a muscle. Hayun had danced only once before leaving and said the decision was painful: "It is complicated and too early. I started by denying it and wanted to continue," she said when announcing her departure.
