Flydubai Flights Halted Pending Investigation After Mid-Air Incident

Flydubai flights from Israel have been suspended until an investigation concludes, following a serious incident on a flight bound for Israel. The Shin Bet security agency has approved the operation of chartered flights to Dubai to ensure continued air travel and the return of Israeli citizens.

Passengers who have already purchased tickets for Flydubai flights will have their flights canceled and are entitled to a refund under the Tibi Law. They will need to purchase new tickets on alternative flights if they wish to travel.

The decision comes after a dramatic event on a Flydubai flight where an attempt was made to bring down the aircraft. The incident, which fortunately resulted in no injuries, led to the plane being diverted and landing safely in Saudi Arabia.

The diverted flight carried 174 passengers, including 166 Israelis, who were temporarily stranded in Saudi Arabia until a solution for their return could be found. A rescue flight was later dispatched to bring the Israelis back to Israel, landing safely at Ben Gurion Airport.

Due to the severity of the incident, all Flydubai flights from Israel are halted pending the investigation's completion. Simultaneously, chartered flights are being facilitated to accommodate affected passengers.
