Tech Entrepreneur Admits Promoting Anti-Government Content Post-Oct. 7

Moshe Redman, a tech entrepreneur, has confirmed that he promoted critical content against the Israeli government on social media pages in the days immediately following the October 7th Hamas attacks. Redman stated he is "proud" of his efforts to fight for the country against what he called a "despicable regime" and sought to replace the government through snap elections.

Redman's confirmation came in response to an investigative report by Yishai Friedman for Channel 14. The report linked anonymous social media pages, which began operating on October 8, 2023, to MR D. Labs, a company owned by Redman. According to the investigation, these pages published thousands of pieces of content critical of the government, settlers in Judea and Samaria, religious Zionist rabbis, and journalists, including Amit Segal. The pages also promoted campaigns against companies that advertised on Channel 14.

Redman acknowledged his actions, stating he worked "in parallel with assisting in the establishment of the civilian situation room to promote critical content about the government of destruction using various network pages." He referred to the report as a "report" in quotes and Channel 14 as a "propaganda channel," but did not explicitly deny all findings, such as the timing of the pages' establishment or specific campaigns.

He claimed to be among the first to understand that Prime Minister Netanyahu would use the massacre to entrench himself in power without accountability. Redman accused the government of being willing to abandon soldiers, hostages, and national security to remain in power. He presented his activities as a struggle against the government and its "poison machine."

Redman expressed regret that calls for unity after the massacre did not more quickly break the "shoot and quiet" and "we are brothers" concepts. He stated that by the time these concepts were broken, the government was stable and the war was at its peak. He added that if it were up to him, the government would have been ousted days after control was regained in the Gaza envelope, and that Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, and other leaders should be prosecuted for their "crimes against the State of Israel and its citizens."
