Michal Kisus Herzog has been appointed chief executive of Discount Capital, the investment arm of the Israel Discount Bank group. She will replace Hila Himi, who announced in February that she was stepping down after about 11 years as CEO of the company.
Kisus Herzog is moving from Bank Hapoalim, where she served until now as CEO of Hapoalim Tech, the bank's technology arm. In that role, she led the bank's work with Israel's high-tech sector and venture capital funds.
Her departure comes as Bank Hapoalim has recently seen a wave of senior exits. Among those who have left or decided to leave are Lior Manzer, head of infrastructure financing; Ilan Peretz, head of commercial banking; Yigal Bindes, head of the infrastructure and energy sector in the business division; and Tom Ben David, the national mortgage manager.
