Media Personality Slams Netanyahu Over Qatar Influence Campaign

Israeli media personality Aviv Geffen has sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of neglecting to counter Qatar's extensive influence operations targeting Israeli academia and public opinion. Geffen stated that Netanyahu was aware of Qatar's efforts to purchase influence within universities, including hiring lecturers and conducting covert operations.

Geffen argued that Israel should have established a robust system utilizing its technological capabilities and marketing expertise to combat these foreign influence campaigns. He lamented that "nothing happened" in terms of creating such a defense mechanism.

In a Facebook post and subsequent remarks, Geffen escalated his criticism, labeling the situation a "neglect that is more than criminal." He went further, suggesting that this failure could be perceived in the future as "the greatest failure of the Jewish people ever."

Geffen's comments highlight his belief that Israel's inaction in the face of known Qatari influence activities represents a significant and potentially catastrophic oversight.
