Oracle Cuts 21,000 Jobs in a Year as It Expands AI Use
Oracle cut 21,000 jobs over the past year, according to its latest annual report, as the company rolled out artificial intelligence technologies across its operations. The reductions amount to about 13% of Oracle’s workforce.
At the end of May 2025, Oracle employed 162,000 people. In its filing, the company said that deploying AI throughout its business has led, and may continue to lead, to a smaller workforce.
Oracle did not provide further details in the report about which divisions were most affected or whether additional cuts are planned.
