New Program to Aid Female Combat Veterans Entering Tech Careers

A new initiative, backed by an investment of NIS 330,000, aims to support female combat veterans transitioning from military service to higher education and careers in Israel's high-tech industry. The program will offer scholarships, academic guidance, and mentorship, connecting participants with industry leaders and technology companies.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Aseff Foundation and the Rad Binat Foundation, with support from Professor Yossi Zissapel. Participants will receive assistance with resume building, participate in mock job interviews, and gain exposure to the tech sector during their studies. The goal is to leverage the leadership and decision-making skills honed during military service into academic and professional success.

"Female combat soldiers have already proven in their military service that they know how to lead, make decisions, and face complex challenges," stated a representative from the program. "Our role is to ensure these abilities translate into academic and employment opportunities. Through our partnership with the Rad Binat Foundation, we are not just providing scholarships, but building a complete pathway, from personal guidance to direct connections with the high-tech industry, enabling them to lead the next frontier of the State of Israel."

Professor Zissapel expressed pride in joining forces with the Aseff Foundation for this project, emphasizing the goal of opening doors for women who have demonstrated resilience and capability during their army service. The program intends to foster the next generation of scientists, engineers, and high-tech professionals in Israel.
