Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Ends Mixed Day With Modest Gains
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange concluded Tuesday's trading session with a moderate positive trend. The TA-35 index saw a slight increase of 0.02%, while the TA-90 index strengthened by 0.72%, and the TA-125 index rose by 0.17%. Among sector indices, the TA-Industry index led the gains with a 0.78% increase, followed by Overseas Investments at 0.72%, Food at 0.70%, Israeli Investments at 0.61%, and Real Estate at 0.54%.
Conversely, the TA Cleantech index declined by 0.62%, Renewable Energy by 0.60%, Insurance and Financial Services by 0.55%, Insurance by 0.39%, and Finance by 0.35%. Within the TA-125 index, Electra Real Estate shares surged by 9.7%, Palo Alto Networks climbed 6.31%, Elco rose 5.46%, Qualitau gained 4.24%, and PriorTech increased by 4.14%.
On the downside, Nofar Energy shares fell 4.42%, Nice dropped 3.39%, Wishor Globaltech decreased by 3.36%, Elbit Systems was down 2.8%, and Ormat Technologies declined 2.3%. The trading turnover for stocks totaled approximately 2.4 billion shekels, while bonds saw 5.5 billion shekels and short-term government bonds (Mak"am) reached 1.7 billion shekels.
In the government bond market, slight increases were recorded. The Tel-Gov General index rose 0.10%, Tel-Gov Shekel by 0.14%, and Tel-Gov Indexed by 0.06%. Tel Bond indices showed stability, with Tel Bond Shekel up 0.01% and Tel Bond Indexed down 0.01%.
In US markets, futures indicated modest changes for leading indices ahead of the opening, with bond yields and oil prices remaining in focus. The 10-year US Treasury yield hovered around 5.23%-5.25%. The foreign exchange market saw the dollar at 3.072 shekels, the euro at 3.4857 shekels, and the pound at 4.0646 shekels.
