Singer Noam Batn Wants to Observe Kashrut Soon

Israeli singer Noam Batn revealed in an interview on the "Ben Ben Baruch" podcast that he feels a strong personal connection to God and speaks with Him regularly. While not currently observant of Shabbat or kashrut, Batn expressed a strong desire to begin observing kashrut in the near future, stating, "Kashrut, I really want to start sometime soon. There are many things I would like to do."

Batn clarified that his connection to faith is not strictly religious but rather rooted in his Jewish identity. He emphasized that his personal feelings and relationship with God guide his observance, rather than solely adhering to Halakha (Jewish law). He explained that if he feels an action, even if Halachically correct, distances him from God or feels wrong, he will avoid it, preferring actions that bring him closer.

Regarding Shabbat observance, Batn stated that if it would negatively impact his connection with God, he believes it may not be the right time for him to observe it yet, as he prioritizes listening to his inner feelings. He shared that this spiritual seeking has been a lifelong journey, stemming from childhood curiosity and a constant internal quest for understanding.

Currently, Batn feels he is entering a new phase in his spiritual development, indicating a period of personal growth and progression.
