Poll Shows Netanyahu Dominates Ultra-Orthodox Support

A new poll conducted among the ultra-Orthodox public in Israel reveals overwhelming support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with 84% of respondents deeming him the most suitable candidate for leadership. The survey, conducted by Shlomo Filber, also highlighted the minimal support for opposition figures within this demographic.

Opposition leaders and alternative candidates garnered negligible percentages. Gadi Eisenkot received 4% support, Benny Gantz 1%, Naftali Bennett 0.8%, and Avigdor Lieberman 0.2%. These figures underscore a significant disconnect between the ultra-Orthodox community and the broader political landscape.

The poll's findings suggest that despite political turbulence and the ongoing controversy surrounding the conscription of ultra-Orthodox men into the military, the community largely views Netanyahu as the primary and almost sole address for national leadership. The minimal backing for other candidates emphasizes a deep-seated distrust of alternative options among the ultra-Orthodox electorate.
