Teenager Critically Injured in ATV Accident in West Bank Settlement
A 14-year-old girl sustained critical injuries on Monday when an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) overturned in the community of Ahiya, located in the Binyamin Regional Council in the West Bank. Emergency medical services from Magen David Adom, alongside a medical unit from the Israel Defense Forces, responded to the scene.
Paramedics provided initial life-saving treatment to the girl, who suffered severe limb injuries. She was then airlifted by a military helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem for further medical care.
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 14-year-old girl suffering from severe limb injuries after the ATV she was riding overturned," said senior paramedic Shaul Malka. "We provided her with initial life-saving medical treatment, including stopping bleeding, bandaging, and stabilizing her, and then connected with a military helicopter that evacuated her to the hospital."
The Israel Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
