Iran's Supreme Leader Issues Stark Warning to West, Praises Nasrallah

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a sharp message to the West during "Sacred Defense Week," marking two years since the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Khamenei asserted that recent conflicts have strengthened Iran, claiming that aggressive powers are now seeking refuge from Islamic fighters and begging for a ceasefire.

A significant portion of his address was dedicated to Nasrallah, whom Khamenei eulogized as "the hero of the Arabs" and a "great symbol of the resistance front." He also commended the current Hezbollah leader, Naim Qassem, for continuing Nasrallah's path. Khamenei sharply criticized unnamed Lebanese figures who he accused of placing false hope in Western powers, predicting they would be "buried and forgotten" in history, remembered only for "evil, foolishness, and perhaps even betrayal."

Khamenei also sent a strong message to Western nations, declaring that the era of foreign powers dictating terms to Iran is over. He stated that those hoping to restore Western influence in Iran would not succeed. He further claimed that seven months of widespread public presence in streets and squares, along with "armed readiness," demonstrate the Islamic Republic's resilience.

He likened the Islamic Republic to a "phoenix" that has grown stronger through recent pressures and wars, its shadow now falling even on enemy lands. The message emphasized Iran's perceived increased strength and defiance in the face of international pressure and regional conflicts.
