Suspect in Haifa Wife's Murder Has Detention Extended
A Haifa Magistrate's Court has extended the arrest of Ali Musawada, 28, from Silwan in East Jerusalem, until Thursday. Musawada is suspected of murdering his wife in Haifa last weekend. The judge determined there is a reasonable suspicion against him, along with concerns of evidence tampering and danger to others.
The suspect's defense attorney argued that Musawada was the one who called emergency services and attempted to save his wife. According to the defense, the wife injured Musawada and inflicted a neck wound on herself.
