American Airlines flight lands safely after passenger reportedly bites another traveler
A routine American Airlines domestic flight in the United States turned chaotic when, according to reports, one passenger bit another and then tried to attack other people on board. The incident took place on Sunday evening on flight AA3046 from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Philadelphia.
Before landing, the pilot contacted ground authorities so police and medical staff would be waiting as a precaution. In radio recordings from the exchange with air traffic control, the pilot was heard saying, "I don't know if he's hallucinating or something like that, but he just bit a passenger and he's trying to fight everybody."
The flight landed safely, and the passenger was treated after arrival. The report does not say what caused the outburst or whether anyone else was injured.
