Arabs in Israel to March Honoring Jerusalem Uprising Martyrs

The Higher Follow-up Committee for Arab Citizens in Israel will organize a nationwide march on Saturday, October 3, 2026, to visit the graves and memorials of martyrs from the Jerusalem Uprising. The march will commence in the village of Jatt in the Triangle region and conclude in the city of Arraba, where a central ceremony will be held.

The event is part of the annual commemoration of the Jerusalem Uprising and is coordinated with local Arab authorities, families of the martyrs, and local popular committees. The itinerary includes stops at the martyrs' graves and monuments in various towns, including Umm al-Fahm, Mu'awiya, Nazareth, Kafr Kanna, Kafr Mandah, Sakhnin, and finally Arraba.

The central march in Arraba is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM from the Old Mosque on Zahir al-Omar Street and will conclude at the square near the martyrs' monument at the city's west-north entrance. The Higher Follow-up Committee emphasized that this national program is separate from local visits and marches.

Approximate timings have been provided, with potential adjustments due to traffic and travel conditions. The committee has called on local Arab authority heads in the affected towns to coordinate with families and popular committees, and to prepare wreaths to be placed on behalf of the committee and the national committee of Arab local authority heads.
