Irish Media Divided Over National Team's Win Amidst Controversy

Daniel McDonnell of the Irish Independent argued that the Football Association of Ireland, not the players, should bear responsibility for placing the team in a difficult ethical and public relations situation. Conversely, Colin Sheridan of the Irish Examiner condemned the players' choice to participate, suggesting they prioritized self-interest over principles.
