Following a difficult first half against Ireland, Israeli national soccer team captain Eli Dasa addressed his teammates in the locker room, urging them to show resilience and channel their frustration onto the field. Dasa, who made his 80th appearance for the national team, entered the locker room before head coach Ran Ben Shimon. He implored the players to act like "men," to avoid speaking negatively about each other, and to focus their energy on the second half. "Don't talk about each other, don't stop and throw things. Go up for the second half and take out all your anger on the field," Dasa reportedly told the team.
