The Histadrut and employers signed an agreement on Monday to raise vacation benefit payments for workers, a perk that can add up to hundreds of shekels a year for each employee.
Under the deal, the daily rate in the private sector will rise from 418 shekels to 451.5 shekels. In the public sector, the allowance was updated to 511.6 shekels per day.
An estimated 2 million to 3 million workers in Israel could benefit from the increase. The change comes after two years in which the rates were frozen and one vacation-benefit day was cut because of the war.
