President Donald Trump sparked confusion online after posting a photo on his Truth Social account on the eve of Father’s Day with the caption, “A wonderful daughter. The honor is mine!!” Users quickly noticed that the young woman in the image was not one of his daughters, prompting a wave of jokes and speculation.
The post renewed questions about the 80-year-old president’s mental state, with some users wondering why he had shared the photo at all and others assuming he had mistaken it for an old picture of Tiffany Trump or Ivanka Trump. The White House declined to respond to reporters’ inquiries.
Canadian podcaster Chris Lebosier mocked the post, writing, “He definitely thinks that’s Tiffany. America needs to have a family meeting with grandpa.” The message drew tens of millions of views and hundreds of thousands of replies and reactions.
Social media users identified the woman as Margo Katsimatidis, wife of billionaire businessman John Katsimatidis. The couple is considered close to Trump, and their daughter Andrea serves as chair of the Manhattan Republican Party. Andrea thanked Trump publicly on X, saying, “Thank you, Mr. President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party. It was an amazing gesture, full of so much American pride. And thank you for all you do for America!” The incident was the latest in a string of puzzling posts on Truth Social; a Daily Beast review found Trump published 861 posts last month, more than one an hour around the clock.
