President Donald Trump set off a wave of confusion after posting a photo of a young woman on Truth Social with the caption, “Wonderful daughter. The honor is mine!!” The post appeared on the eve of Father’s Day, but users quickly noticed the woman was not one of his daughters.
The White House declined to comment when asked about the post. The image immediately fueled speculation online about Trump’s mental state, with some users suggesting he had mistaken the woman for Tiffany or Ivanka Trump. Canadian podcaster Chris Lebosier mocked the post, saying, “He must think it’s Tiffany. America needs a family meeting with grandpa.”
The post drew tens of millions of views and hundreds of thousands of replies and reactions. Social media users identified the woman as Margot Katsimatidis, the wife of billionaire businessman John Katsimatidis. The couple is known to be close to Trump, and their daughter Andrea serves as chair of the Republican Party in Manhattan.
Andrea Katsimatidis replied to Trump on X, thanking him for inviting her to his birthday party and calling it “an amazing gesture, full of so much American pride.” The report said this was only the latest in a string of strange, unexplained posts from Trump on Truth Social. A Daily Beast analysis found that he posted 861 times last month, more than one post per hour around the clock.
