In his first public remarks after talks with Iran in Switzerland, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said Tehran has agreed to let International Atomic Energy Agency nuclear inspectors enter the country. He said he expects the visit to happen at least this week.
Vance added that some of the discussions with the inspectors and with the IAEA could take place as early as today. The comments were presented as his first statement following the Swiss negotiations.
The announcement comes amid ongoing diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program, with the timing of any inspection now appearing to be imminent.
