Ofer Wintern's New Party Surpasses Established Israeli Political Factions in Media Coverage

A new report reveals that the fledgling political party "Amcha Yisrael," led by Ofer Wintern, is generating significant media attention, surpassing several established parties in news coverage. The report, conducted by the Movement for Public Journalism, analyzed the number of news alerts or "pushes" received by political parties on leading news websites between August 30 and September 19.

"Amcha Yisrael" secured the fourth position with 213 media alerts. This places it ahead of prominent parties such as "Yisrael Beiteinu" led by Avigdor Lieberman, which received only 83 alerts, and Naftali Bennett's "Achva Yisrael" with 128 alerts. Wintern's party also outranked "Religious Zionism" (145 alerts) and Yair Golan's "The Democrats" (108 alerts).

The ruling Likud party led the rankings with 974 alerts, followed by the "Yashar" movement with 285, and "Otzma Yehudit" with 216 alerts. Other parties with lower coverage included the Reservists Party (70), Blue and White (64), Ra'am (44), Shas (39), United Torah Judaism (22), the Joint List (9), and the Haredi Public Party (5).

The report highlights the substantial media presence "Amcha Yisrael" has achieved less than a month after announcing its intention to run for the Knesset, indicating a notable impact on the political discourse.
