Director of Anti-Israel Film 'Nezah' Criticizes US Funding at NY Screening

Yuval Abraham, the director of the film "Nezah," which is described as anti-Israel, criticized the U.S. government during the film's premiere at the New York Film Festival. Abraham stated that the U.S. is responsible for "funding Gaza's destruction by Israel" through its military aid. He emphasized the importance of screening the film to make it harder for people to deny what is happening in Gaza and to highlight how taxpayer money is being used to support actions against Palestinians.

Abraham asserted that the U.S. provides billions of dollars and military assistance to Israel, which he claims is used against Palestinians. "It is important for us to see this film because these senior officials are talking about what is being done with the tax money of the people sitting here. This is what your country supports and finances," he said during a post-screening discussion.

Outside the screening, the Israeli-American Community organization (IAC) led a protest with over 50 participants. Demonstrators called the film "anti-Israel" and argued that it makes serious claims about the IDF's conduct in Gaza while ignoring contradictory information. The protesters displayed footage from the October 7th attacks and images of victims on LED screens mounted on trucks.

Addressing the October 7th massacre, Abraham stated, "The massacre is completely unjustified, but it also cannot justify what you have seen. Does it justify massacring so many civilians in Gaza?"
