Strategic Advisor Slams Netanyahu, Likud for Lack of Achievements

Strategic advisor and media personality Barak Seri has launched a sharp critique against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party, citing a lack of significant achievements ahead of the Knesset's winter session. Seri argued that the absence of accomplishments prevents the Likud from running a campaign, stating, "And again, there is no campaign for Likud, there is nothing because there are no achievements, nothing to be proud of."

He specifically pointed to the October 7th failures and what he described as the "destruction of relations with most countries in the world, including a great worsening of relations with the USA." Seri also commented on Netanyahu's recent brief visit to the UN General Assembly in New York, interpreting it as a reflection of Israel's diplomatic isolation. "The short trip to the UN taught more than anything about the difficult political situation of Israel during the era of 'Mr. Different League'," Seri quipped, contrasting it with past times when world leaders eagerly sought meetings with the Israeli prime minister.

Addressing the upcoming US presidential elections, Seri analyzed Netanyahu's strategy, which he believes has collapsed. "Netanyahu hoped that a month before the elections, he would be at the peak of a campaign with Trump acting as the main supporter. He wanted to project that he and Trump were managing the Middle East, perhaps the entire world, together, closely," Seri explained. As this plan did not materialize as expected, Seri concluded with a pointed remark about Netanyahu's reliance on Mansour Abbas, stating, "This also did not work. So what is left? Mansour Abbas and Mansour Abbas again."

This criticism follows a recent public confrontation between Seri and Tali Guili, the mother of a fallen police detective. Guili had claimed that an opposition victory would lead to the erasure of fallen soldiers' memories. Seri questioned her assertion, naming prominent opposition figures who are also bereaved parents, and accused her of crossing a line by blaming an entire bloc fighting for her son's memory.
