Man Murdered in Shooting Attack in Tamra; Two Others Injured in Separate Incidents

A 25-year-old man, Muhammad Yassin, was killed in a shooting incident in the northern Israeli Arab town of Tamra on Thursday night. Yassin, a resident of the town of Kabul in the Western Galilee, was shot in his car and sustained a head injury. The barrage of gunfire also hit nearby vehicles, though no other injuries were reported. He was transported to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, where he was pronounced dead. Police have launched an investigation into the shooting.

In separate incidents on Saturday, a young man was injured by gunfire in Jaljuliya and taken to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba. Additionally, another man was shot in Tamra and evacuated to Rambam Medical Center. These incidents add to a growing number of violent deaths within the Arab community in Israel.

The Abraham Initiatives organization reported that 182 Arab citizens have lost their lives since the beginning of 2026 in circumstances related to crime and violence. Of these, 173 were civilians and 9 were residents. The causes of death include 154 shootings, 9 stabbings, and 6 fire-related incidents. Among the victims were 13 women or girls, and 9 were shot by police officers.
