Saudi Foreign Minister Rejects Palestinian Displacement at UN, Backs Two-State Solution

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, declared at the United Nations General Assembly in New York that the Kingdom "categorically rejects" any attempts at the forced displacement of Palestinians or altering the status quo in the Palestinian territories. He emphasized that a "just peace can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state."

Prince Faisal bin Farhan also described the "continued illegal expansion of settlements" as a "serious violation of international and humanitarian law." The minister's remarks were made during his address at the UN's annual meetings.

In related matters, the Saudi Foreign Minister addressed the Iranian issue and maritime security, stressing the necessity for the "return of the Strait of Hormuz to its pre-war status, without imposing any fees."
