Likud Slams Reports of Pre-Oct. 7 Warnings to Netanyahu
The Likud party has responded to investigative reports by The Atlantic and The New York Times, which claimed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was warned about an impending attack before the October 7th Hamas massacre. The party issued a statement asserting that as elections approach, there is a "flood of false publications by conscripted left-wing journalists" aiming to "overthrow the right and enthrone a Muslim Brotherhood-left government that will surrender on all fronts."
The New York Times report reiterated claims that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed had warned Netanyahu. Simultaneously, The Atlantic alleged that Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel visited Israel 11 days before the attack, warning that "Gaza will explode in your face."
