The comments come amid controversy surrounding the team's upcoming match against Israel.

Ogbene addressed the media, acknowledging the difficult situation and the discussions within the team regarding their participation. "We are considering what we will do and talking about it," he said, emphasizing that playing the match would not signify friendship with Israel. He directed questions about the situation to UEFA, stating, "This is the Israeli government that makes the decisions, but these questions should be directed to UEFA."

The player highlighted his focus on the human aspect of the conflict, describing the situation as very complicated and placing UEFA in a difficult position. "I am just a footballer, I have no title on this matter," Ogbene concluded, reiterating his sympathy for those affected in Gaza.
