A "change bloc" of political parties is reportedly formulating an offer intended to persuade Benny Gantz, chairman of the National Unity Party, to withdraw from the upcoming Knesset election race. The proposal, described as an offer for a "dignified exit," is expected to be presented to Gantz in the coming days, according to Channel 13 political correspondent Michael Shemesh.

The plan, still under development, is said to include a future role for Gantz himself and potentially political arrangements for some of his party members. This initiative arises from lessons learned in previous elections, where parties failing to cross the electoral threshold "burned" valuable votes for the bloc. The "change bloc" is striving to prevent such a scenario by seeking early agreements to maximize vote utilization.

The report comes just 30 days before the elections, amidst a backdrop of shifting poll numbers. Recent surveys suggest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is nearing victory, while the opposition bloc faces significant challenges.
