Acclaimed Israeli author and poet Yehuda Atlas passed away at the age of 89. The Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov) announced his death, relaying a statement from his family. The family described Atlas as an "eternal child" who acted out of a desire to help others throughout his life. He was known for his work as an editor, children's author, and translator.

In his later years, Atlas focused on writing about at-risk children, driven by a sense of mission. His family expressed their remembrance, stating, "May his memory be blessed."
