Civilians Breach Gaza Border Fence, Safely Returned by IDF
Earlier today, Thursday, a number of civilians crossed into the area of the barrier separating Israel from the Gaza Strip. IDF forces responded quickly to the location, and the civilians were safely removed from the area and returned to Israeli territory. The civilians did not cross into Gaza itself.
The IDF emphasized that the area adjacent to the barrier is a closed military zone with strictly prohibited entry. The military stated that entering this area endangers both the civilians and the IDF soldiers operating there, and reiterated its focus on its defense mission in the Gaza Strip.
