Maccabi Tel Aviv is close to adding center Richaun Holmes, according to a report by Sport Channel. The Israeli club is continuing to build for next season even after its loss in Game 3, which cost it a chance to win the championship.
Holmes, 32, stands 2.06 meters tall and signed with Panathinaikos last summer. That move brought him to Europe for the first time after a long NBA career, and he was expected to be the Greek club's main star.
He had signed a two-year deal worth $2.5 million per season, but left Panathinaikos before the end of the campaign. Maccabi is now said to be in advanced negotiations with him, as it looks for a starting center for next season.
