Hapoel forces a Game 4 after Maccabi’s first playoff loss
The Winner League playoff finals were reset on Saturday night, as Hapoel Tel Aviv beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 80-74 in Game 3 after Maccabi had won the first two games of the series. The result sends the championship series to a fourth game on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Hichal Mivtahim, also known as Menora, at 8:50 p.m.
Maccabi trailed Hapoel for the entire game and never managed to build a meaningful lead. The team also felt the absence of Blatt and Walker, according to the report. Hapoel’s standout was Vasilije Micic, who finished with 29 points and 5 assists.
For Maccabi, Jimmy Clark led the way with 24 points, while Loddberg and Hord also contributed, but it was not enough to prevent the loss. Roman Sorkin had a particularly difficult night, ending with 0 points and 3 fouls.
If the Winner League finals are still undecided after Tuesday’s game, a fifth and deciding game will be played on Thursday.
