Yoseph Haddad Slams Yair Golan Over 'Chance for Syrian Regime' Remarks

Prominent Israeli advocate Yoseph Haddad has launched a scathing attack on Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic Party, following Golan's suggestion in an interview that the Syrian regime should be given a chance. Haddad, who is also a Knesset candidate for the 'Am Israel' party, described Golan's statement as evidence of dangerous blindness among Israeli decision-makers and public figures.

In a furious social media post, Haddad criticized Golan's remarks, stating, "I hear Yair Golan interviewed and saying we need to give the Syrian regime a chance... Honestly, no matter what we've been through in the last three years, people here are deeply in a misconception!"

Haddad highlighted the perceived absurdity of Golan's position by referencing threats from the northern border, including recent statements by rebel leader Al-Jolani at the UN claiming the Golan Heights as theirs. Haddad warned against allowing "this group of jihadists" to inflict further harm, referencing the violence in Sweida, and called Golan's comments "utter stupidity."

Haddad also criticized other political ideas, such as bringing Jordanian forces into the West Bank, which he characterized as "day after day of delusions of not understanding the Middle East." He concluded by stating that the solution to the complex security situation is clear, advocating for Ofir Winter to serve as Defense Minister in the upcoming elections, which he frames as a struggle between "containment or decision."

Separately, Haddad recently received explicit death threats via email, believed to originate from the Iranian regime, underscoring the personal risks he faces for his public and political activities.
