Car Thief's Sentence Increased After Stealing from Kibbutz Be'eri Post-Oct 7
The Beersheba District Court has increased the prison sentence for Guy Haddad, 44, who stole vehicles from Kibbutz Be'eri following the October 7th massacre. Haddad was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. He stole the vehicles, including those belonging to massacre survivors and hostage survivor Eli Sharabi, with the intention of selling them in the Palestinian Authority. Sharabi discovered his car had been stolen only after his return from captivity.
The Southern District Prosecutor's Office had appealed Haddad's initial sentence of five and a half years, arguing it was too lenient. Haddad was convicted of conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of joint vehicle theft.
