Channel 14 Journalist Slams Likud's Electoral Failures

Channel 14 journalist Noy Bar has criticized the Likud party's electoral strategy, calling its failure to retain voters a "huge failure" for which it is paying dearly. Bar specifically targeted Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman, whom she described as one of the most destructive figures in Israeli politics.

Bar argued that Lieberman's actions in the 2019 elections prevented the formation of a right-wing government that could have advanced the camp's goals during the first Trump administration. She recalled that even then, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu labeled Lieberman as part of the left, a sentiment initially met with derision by journalists.

She questioned why Likud has been unable to win back its voters, suggesting it might be time for a change. However, the report also notes that some media advisors believe Lieberman would join a Netanyahu-led government if it secured 61 Knesset seats in the next election.
