Rami Levy Reveals Childhood Struggle With Dyslexia

Rami Levy, a prominent Israeli businessman and founder of a major retail chain, has revealed he has struggled with dyslexia since childhood, significantly impacting his reading abilities. Levy, who built his empire from a small market stall into a conglomerate including a supermarket chain, an airline, and a communications company, shared his challenges in an upcoming interview.

Despite his business acumen, Levy admitted that reading remains a significant difficulty. He stated that he often relies on others, including his wife and his secretary Iris, to read aloud to him, even for lengthy articles. "I don't read books because of dyslexia. They read to me," Levy confessed to interviewer Omri Asnaheim. He added, "Sometimes if I want something I tell my wife 'read to me,' or whoever is near me."

Levy clarified that while he can read newspaper articles, he prefers to have longer texts read to him. The full interview is set to air on Thursday on Reshet 13.
