Israeli Series 'Bodeket' Greenlit for Second Season on Yes

The Israeli television series "Bodeket" (Checker), created by and starring Githit Fisher, has been officially renewed for a second season on the Israeli streaming platform Yes. The show, which garnered significant attention following the release of its initial episodes, will feature beloved characters from its first season.

While details about the returning cast are still emerging, actor Tzachi Grad, who plays the father of the main character, Shagit, shared his perspective on the renewal. "I don't usually like to continue for another season after another, usually it's for commercial reasons," Grad stated. "But I know that if Githit continued for another season, it's because she still has something to say, and I'll be happy to continue with her."

"Bodeket" centers on Shagit, a 33-year-old gate agent at Ben Gurion Airport who lives with her father, played by Grad, in a neglected apartment. Their relationship is symbiotic: she manages their finances, household chores, and daily life, while he provides her with a sense of value she struggles to find elsewhere. The series was created by Fisher and Yonatan Gurfinkel, with Fisher writing the script and Gurfinkel directing. Yoav Gross Productions is behind the production.
