Sergio Busquets Mentors Young Israeli Midfielder Oriol Gavi at Barcelona

Sergio Busquets, the legendary former Barcelona midfielder, is taking on a new role as an assistant coach for Barcelona's reserve team, Barcelona Athletic. In this capacity, Busquets is focusing on providing tactical guidance, particularly to the team's midfielders. Among the players he is mentoring is 16-year-old Israeli talent Oriol Gavi, who has become a regular starter for the team despite his young age and playing alongside older teammates.

Busquets, who aims to become a professional coach, is set to begin his coaching certification courses soon, starting with an 'A' license and progressing to a 'Pro' license. Currently, he is observing matches from the stands and is not yet on the bench during games, as he is still in the initial stages of his coaching career. He is working closely with other staff members and players, including Gavi, Pedro Villar, Pedro Rodriguez, and Katovic, the team's latest signing.

Oriol Gavi has already made a significant impact, providing an assist in the first game of the season. Barcelona Athletic is currently performing well in the Spanish league, having secured seven points and remaining undefeated so far this season.
