Israeli Activist Yoseph Haddad Receives Death Threats Linked to Iran

Yoseph Haddad, a prominent Israeli advocacy activist and candidate for the 'Amcha Israel' party, reported receiving explicit death threats via email on Tuesday. The messages, which included graphic threats of physical mutilation, are believed to originate from Iran.

The emails stated, "We will cut off your fingers one by one and dismember your bodies along with the Americans. We are the people of war. Damn you." The style and content of the messages suggest a connection to the Iranian regime.

Haddad, who is listed as candidate number two for the 'Amcha Israel' party founded by Ofer Vinter, was recently placed on a list of hostile elements by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence, which prohibits Iranian citizens from contacting them. Haddad was at the top of this list.

In response to the threats, Haddad issued a strong statement, saying, "The Iranian regime has never been more predictable. I also receive explicit murder threats on social media. This did not frighten me in the past, and it does not frighten me today. On the contrary, it strengthens me. I will continue to act for the State of Israel and for Israeli society." He concluded with a well-known Arabic proverb directed at his adversaries: "Go pave the sea."
