Bank Leumi will finance a summer camp for teenagers from communities on Israel's northern front line, with the initiative worth tens of millions of shekels. The camp is part of the bank's new social program for young people in the north.
The camp will be run by Kimama, an international network of summer camps and educational programs based on the American summer camp model. Kimama says it was the first company to establish this kind of international camp in Israel.
The program will take place at Kefar Gallim, at the foot of the Carmel near Haifa, during July and August 2026. It will include five days of workshops and activities, accommodation, meals, and what the organizers describe as a special experience with Kimama's professional staff.
The initiative adds to a series of social projects Bank Leumi has promoted since October 7, including funding for matriculation exam preparation, wedding grants for reservists, scholarships for students who helped farmers with harvesting and processing, hotel rooms for people aged 80 and over without access to a protected shelter during Operation Iron Swords, an in-home banking service for seniors, and financing a rescue ship for Israelis stranded abroad during Operation Rising Lion.
