Ben-Gvir Claims 'Crocodile Project' in Prisons Feared by Inmates

Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated on Tuesday evening that his 'Crocodile Project' in prisons is a success because inmates "fear it." Responding to a question about the project's status, Ben-Gvir asserted that he fulfilled his election promise to bring order to the prison system. He claimed that "not one person in Israel" disputes that he kept his word regarding the Israel Prison Service, despite criticism he has faced.

Ben-Gvir further elaborated that the 'Crocodile Project' is "excellent" and that its effectiveness stems from the fear it instills. When pressed that the promise had not yet been fulfilled, the minister retorted, "You probably weren't there." He invited the questioner to visit the facilities to see for themselves, reiterating that his promises regarding prisons and the National Guard have been fully met.

While acknowledging that "not everything is perfect," Ben-Gvir expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating that "five or six promises have been fully kept." He then presented six promises related to his potential role as Defense Minister, confidently stating, "I'll sign off on 80% success here too."
