Israeli Finance Minister Slams UN Chief Over 'Incitement'
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich sharply criticized UN Secretary-General António Guterres on social media platform X, following a speech by the latter. Smotrich accused Guterres of incitement that emboldens terrorism and effectively permits the bloodshed of half a million Israeli civilians living in Judea and Samaria.
Smotrich stated that the UN chief, heading an organization that provided funding and patronage to UNRWA, which he claimed acted as Hamas's operational arm during the October 7th massacre, is not in a position to lecture Israel on morality.
Furthermore, Smotrich expressed pride in leading the settlement revolution in Judea and Samaria, asserting that this development effectively nullifies the possibility of a Palestinian state and strengthens Israel's security.
