Palestinian National Team Calls Up Midfielder Amidst International Break Preparations

The Palestinian national football team, known as 'Al-Feda'i', has called up midfielder Omied Sawafte for its upcoming training camp during the current international break. Sawafte, 26, who plays as a defensive midfielder or attacking midfielder, is currently under contract with Egyptian club Al-Masry until June 2029. He has been undergoing intensive training with Al-Masry under coach Ali Maher to ensure his readiness for the national team.

Al-Feda'i' is set to participate in a rigorous preparation program that includes four friendly matches against teams from different continents. The scheduled matches are against New Zealand on September 24, 2026; Turkmenistan on September 28, 2026; Tajikistan on September 29, 2026; and China on October 2, 2026.
