IDF Chief in South Lebanon Warns Ceasefire Is Fragile
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a situational assessment in southern Lebanon and said Israel must not allow radical terror groups to establish themselves on its borders.
Zamir said Hezbollah had suffered “a severe and deep blow,” and that the army remains committed to staying prepared to continue operations and prevent the group from rebuilding.
He also warned that the ceasefire now in effect is fragile, adding that Israeli forces need to remain at a high level of readiness for a possible resumption of fighting.
