Israeli Financial Tech Firm Achieves ISO Security Certification
Plus Minus Technologies, an Israeli financial technology company, has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 international standard for information security management by the Standards Institution of Israel. This certification, valid until September 2029 and subject to annual review, signifies robust security protocols for the company's financial management system, covering development, marketing, sales, and maintenance.
The achievement follows a comprehensive manual penetration test conducted in June 2026 by Clear Gate, a cybersecurity firm. This test, which simulated real-world cyberattacks on the live production environment using OWASP methodologies, found no high or critical-risk vulnerabilities. All medium and low-risk findings were addressed and verified in a subsequent review, with Clear Gate concluding that the system exhibits strong resilience against common cyber threats.
Plus Minus CEO Fishel Rosenfeld emphasized the importance of such rigorous testing in a market flooded with new AI-powered financial applications, many of which he claims are developed with minimal security oversight. He urged consumers to question the security vetting of financial tools, stating, "If the answer is 'no one,' it's not a tool suitable for holding your household's economy."
The company stores user data on AWS servers in Israel, within a private network secured by encryption, utilizing the same infrastructure as the government's Nimbus project. Development and production environments are fully segregated, and the system is monitored in real-time with advanced security tools.
Looking ahead, Plus Minus plans to apply to the Israel Securities Authority for integration with open banking systems, allowing direct data flow from banks and credit card companies with user consent. Rosenfeld stressed that users will retain manual control over their data, ensuring financial awareness is maintained. The platform, which already has thousands of registered families, will be fully launched at the "Plus Minus 2" conference on November 4th in Jerusalem.
